Redefining urbanization in Delhi is an imminent need of the time as Delhi is facing an immense population pressure majorly formed by immigration of people to national capital. To ease the lives of people living in Delhi and also adjoining areas as well as raise the living standard of people, the government in Delhi has come up with a DDA Master Plan Delhi 2021, a mega plan to entirely modify the urban landscape of Delhi.

Master Plan Delhi

The answer to the problem of Master Plan Delhi is merely not limited only to the population migration but also holistic approach to structured development of Delhi. The major motive of the city development also depends upon the transformation of the socio-economic, natural and in the built environment.

Master plan Delhi was also thought as to be the solution for the massive problem as culminated in Delhi due to massive urbanization as accounted there as physical infrastructure, transport, ecology and environment. Master Plan Delhi 2021’s basic planning is towards developing around five sub cities around Delhi with an aim to make around 24 lakh homes.

For development purposes, the entire outskirts of Delhi with available land is divided into 15 zones in the Master Plan 2021.  L Zone, the best one is far closer to Dwarka as well as Millennium city Gurgaon thus this way makes it to be as an important center of development. However, in a broader perspective MPD 2021 offers some unique propositions for the urban development.
